    What alloy?

    Just for the fun of it, let's say someone would provide you with all the lead you could ever use forever, free of charge. The only conditions are they would only provide one alloy and you had to use it as-is. (Heat-treating is allowed)

    So what would you pick?

    I would take buckets of un-processed WW. That way I'd have both the stick-ons and the clip-ons. I could blend and/or HT and have alloys ranging from about 6 BHN to 30 BHN. Be good to go for almost everything.

    I'd take pure gold, tons of it!! But since I see you've limited it to a lead alloy, I'd go with Lyman #2 with a little extra tin thrown in. Nice shiny bullets that fill out well in any mould. Drop into water for extra hardness when needed.
