    First time success !!!

I have been reading this forum for a few years now, and I was finally able to fire up my pot for the first time with my 2cav lee 356-120-tc and ended up with 350 good looking Boolits with about 25 rejects. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and helping make my first casting session a success!!

You realize you have "crossed over".

    There is no going back.

    You are now a junkie!

    Boy, ain't that the truth.

The other night, I decided to run a few 38-150-KT's for one of the 357's...you cannot believe the mess I had...for no reason that I could discern...went from one problem to the next...finally called it a night after finally getting about 200 "good" ones. Since then, I have a couple of sessions that went off without a hitch...go figure.

At any rate, congrats on your first casting and just try to not let this new addiction take over your every idle minute.

    Well done!
I won't cast until I am ready to cast everything that needs to be cast, you know get it all done at once.

I gave up the pursuit of "the perfect boolit" and settled for the once in awhile "purdy boolit" but more often than not use the "that's shootable in my pistolas." Crazy thing is every once in awhile I get another "purdy boolit" which makes me pursue "the perfect boolit." Does this mean that sanity comes and goes? BTW, those are some 'perfect boolits!'

    Congratulations! They look real good.

That is an excellent design, size to .357 or .358 and seat with about
.030 of the full diam shoulder outside the case, about 1.075 LOA, IIRC -
and you will find it to be reliable and accurate in many/most 9mms. Be
sure to taper crimp as a separate operation and drop test your first
round in the dismounted barrel to verify LOA and degree of TC.

Good boolit, I have a 6 cav of that, just cast and powder coated about 800 of them this week. Oddly enough, I don't own anything that shoots them, but friends and family do.

I have the RCBS truncated cone, love it! I was weary about feeding problems, but the Glock chews them up without argument in my LWD barrel.
