    Smith and Wesson Mod 18-4

I recently bought this from a fellow member...It's real nice to say the least. I got it out to the range last week. The target was shot off-hand at 25 yards...Not the greatest results,
    but the paper is Dead

Only revolver I've ever had a set of custom stocks made for. Craig Spegel is the man when it comes to these. Never, ever selling this gun & stocks combo!

First revolver I ever bought was a K22 Masterpiece. This was before S&W changed to model #'s. Mine is a 6" barrel since that is the only way they came back then. It will go to one of my sons someday.

I would love to have a 4" Model 18 but really can't justify it now.

Someone has been having way too much time on their hands to go to the range. First the 41's and now the 22's. Geez Jon, must be nice. (I'm jealous for sure)

Not to mention youve been picking up brass and now spent bullets to reclaim!

    Good shooting as usual.

I see they are continually reducing the pack counts too. A 222 pack? First I've seen that.

Yeah, the win 222 pack was a recent buy at Gander mountain.
I think it was $14...limit one 222 pak.

while I have a pretty good stash, I bought these, more or less, to see how consistant they were compared to Winchester 22LR from the past, that weren't manufactured when the plant employees weren't working MAX overtime for the previous 18+ months.

You found a beauty!! Was that paper in season?

Did your 18 come with those Combat grips shown in the last photo? ---- mine did.

I've had this -4 for several years. It was shipped in '81.

    No, it didn't.
I got those wood grips from another member. While the inletting is perfect, they need some wood to metal fitting, a project I'll do this winter. But honestly, I really like the feel of the rubber grips. Yours looks beautiful as well.

Love those 18s, for that mater all the K22s , mine is an 18 and came with diamond grips kinda like those. Used to serial# the grips to the gun, don't know when they stopped. May take it squirrel hunting Saturday.

If I may barge in with $.02, I have a 16-6" & simply love it. BEST .22 ever made. Very good for squirrels, with or without nuts....bigmac

Bigmac are you sure it is a 16? I believe they were .32 caliber originally.
