    shipping gunpowder

the only people who can ship powder have to be set up with a license and 1 800 number and maintain that number 24/7 that is so if something goes wrong the fire depts. or whom ever is handling the problem can call and get all the info that's needed on the shipment and what's involved then they can make a decision on being involved or getting away from it, and not get killed

If you dig into it, you will also find it's not as hard to get set up as people like to repeat

sig2009: that wasn't even legal for someone who HAS a license. What part of flammable didn't the shipper understand? I had a gun mailed direct to me once, seller ignored the rules entirely. That didn't make it legal.

I wanted some 8mm casings i had at camp and a buddy said he would pick them up and mail them to me. I openrd the usps flat rate box and had casings plus the 8mm ammo that was there too.
called him and told him not to do that

Super unlawful to ship powder via U.S. mail. It has to go ground via UPS, FedEx or similar.

Ask about shipping without a license next time you go to UPS. I think you'll find the OP is pretty close. Or you can search federal regs on such. I did, but that was about 3 years ago.
