Multi color is Great
just started, i need to get some black, chrome and zombie green.
ketchup and mustard?
new colors i just got today from all powder
both colors tumbled excellent with the mirror blue coating a little better using tumble method than Kawasakii green, but i like them both.
Going to order mirror black and chrome next!
This is getting expensive, but i like it!
These are black Crosman air soft bbs, you can see how the powder coats them so it transfers to the bullets.
If the powder does not coat the bbs, i do not think it will work very well.
Looks good Jimbo, I'm going to have to try the BBs. Great colors.
I like Green boolits. RAL 6002 and 6010 to be specific.

Spawn-inc are those steel cases?
Yes, tula for some reason put boxer primers in them but berdan in their 9mm. I like messing around and wanted to see how many reloads I could get from them. That's the 6th reload without any issues. I've also reloaded Cci aluminum cases in 9mm, 45acp and a few 357mag. The 357mag were berdan primed though so it was a pain to decap.
Whatever is the cheeeeeepest and covers in ONE coat! After all, it is just going splat on the other end!

Banger,
I so wish I could get over this OCD thing (its getting worse as I get older) if I see even 1 blemish through the Powder coat it has to have a 2nd coat.... When I do my regular cast with lube its the same way, I polish the boolits on a towel then lube and use a toothpick to get lube out of the crimp groove and then I have to take a razor blade and go around the boolits to make sure that the lube is perfect all the way around and inside the lube grooves.... It drives me crazy to do this! I think its because of the pain all over I live with that I cant control... Maybe its a way to control something?
So far my favorite color is RED... only because its all I have used yet.
Doc
Doc................don't get down in the weeds with the "blemishes". If they are on the nose or grease valleys........no problem. If on the TOPS of the grease grooves, inspect.
I have found that (with the HF powders) the polyester resin is actually there, even though the pigment is not. Which means a small divot of "lead color" showing thru does not necessarily mean there is bare lead exposed to your barrels. But check it out for yourself with a magnifying glass and a pick. You will probably find there is a coating there but it is clear. I did on most!
I just hate wasting time and energy coating boolits twice for any color.

How about yellow and red with a twist?
But you say they only glow under black light?
This is in dim daylight
May I ask the maker of the hollow point mold and bullet weight of the picture you posted ? The picture shows black coated .300 AAC Blackout
gas checked bullets, in the thread ' whats your favorite coating color'
Thanks R Walker USMC
Personally, I like Beagles speckled ones he gets from changing colors. I haven't been able to duplicate them yet. They remind me of very custom paint jobs on cars.

Welcome to Castboolits! The mold in the picture is a remake of an old lyman design, the 311410. This one was a group buy by Mihec of MP molds. It is called the Mihec 311410 which throws a 125 grain boolit, or 128, or 130 depending on what hollow point pin is used, or if it is cast as a solid. The deep hollow point goes down to the crimp groove, and is very explosive on impact. If you can find one, expect to pay over 160$ for it. I believe the group buy nearly cost me 160$ with shipping. It is the most expensive mold I have ever owned. Oh, wait...I did sell a lee bator mold on ebay for nearly 400$ so that may not be true.
