    Edit; not sure what happened.
Never in history has there been a situation so bad that the government couldn't make it worse.

Have one too in .357. It's my favorite pistol now. I have tons of .38 brass, so I load "hot" .38 loads with bullseye and 158 gr TL boolits and it shoots great for cheap cost per round. Never understood buying a .38 pistol when a .357 is about the same price and you can shoot both in it.

Wait.. What.. Where!?!?! You saying a GP100 in 9MM? I think I have heard of the sp-101 in 9MM but not a GP100

Be still my beating heart, I want one

I love my two GP100's - as someone else has said - they will be the last to go - actually, I say I will die still owning them. My son and daughter can fight over who gets the stainless and who gets the blued one. My wife, sadly(or should I say gladly?) never fell in love with them

What grips are those? They look sharp!

There are others, but here are a couple places that make inserts.

A little blurry but it is a pretty maple. I also have a green burled wood for nights on the town and black walnut for formal wear.

Thanks for the tip. I just ordered some from Chig's Grips. Great pricing and awesome looking grips. My first set (I'm sure there will be more) was an English Walnut. Can't wait to put them on.

I ignored GP100s for many years thinking 'Ruger = single actions, S&W = double actions'.
I even went to the guns store last year expecting to buy a 686, but comparing a S&W 686 SSR to a GP100, the GP was clearly smoother in the bore and chambers and the Smith had a flawed muzzle crown.
The GP was an easy choice to make.
Now that I've had it over a year I'm still very happy with it. It shoots cast great, and it even shoots plated bullets very well.

I just watched a nearly new KGPF-840 (.38 Special/stainless/fixed sights,4" barrel) sell on another forum for $600.00. I would've happily paid that if I had the cash. Full size .38 Special revolvers are just pure awesomeness. Don't ask me to explain why because I can't, but more than a few on the Ruger forum share this sentiment.
    Currently casting and loading: .32 Auto, .380 Auto, .38 Special, 9X19, .357 Magnum, .257 Roberts, 6.5 Creedmoor, .30 WCF, .308 WCF, .45-70.

No need to explain. I too have a similar affliction. Sort of like shooting 38 Specials out of a model 27 N-frame?

I wish I was the one that could lay claim to that accomplishment but at least I can aspire to it.

my GP is awesome as well. I especially like the way it disassembles with the trigger group and all.

I shoot blackpowder loads thru mine from time to time and boy are those loads fun. cleanup is a snap and when I pull the trigger group ... everything is very clean and un-gunked ... there is a word for ya.
