    How do you remove rust?

I was just loaned some ideal molds, (long term loan) to use.
They have some light rust in the cavities. what is the correct way to clean these up?
    These are 4 cavity molds.

    Thanks Ed

I've had good results with diluted CLR in an ultrasonic cleaner.

Be aware that any rust remover will remove bluing as well.

I have left metal objects to soak in water and molasses, Gall of water to half a cup of molasses should do it. Don't forget to soak metal in water and bi carb soda after rinsing off molasses this kills the acids then dry and oil

If you try the molasses method check often. Things can get very bad if left too long.

I was told that as well, but I have cleaned so many old war relics that were dug up and as yet have had no problems, but I do as you say and check often.
