Need Help with my Lee Mold

Trying to find a gunpowder that will work with my Lee six cavity 356 125 gr 9mm RN.

The gun is a Taurus PT99 AF.

This gun shot commercial cast 122 gr RN very well with Bullseye but all test loads
with the new boolit and Bullseye are terrible. So bad in fact that I stopped after the third
string and checked my sites for looseness.

I am shooting the same boolit in my S&W Shield with Bullseye and it is extremely accurate.

I would appreciate gunpowder suggestions only as I can work up my own loads and data.

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide.

Slug your barrel on the taurus, 356 may be on the small side. My berrets 02 shot J words okay but any cast 356 dia bullets were all over at 25 yds. went to 358 and groups tightened right up to better than the j words. Bullseye unique ww231 should work fine.

What are you sizing the bullets to? If .356, try larger, I run .358 in all my nines, so far they all chamber fine and shoot well.

    +3 on the size theory.
I will be willing to bet that your Taurus's barrel is just a smidge bigger. Slug it and I'll bet you find your culprit.

I'm loading 3.8 gr of Bullseye behind the same bullet in my Kimber with good results. I'm with the others who think it may be a diameter issue.
If you say you can't, you probably won't.

Just because he has a Lee 356-125 doesn't meant they drop at .356. My Lee 356-120 TC drops them at 357.5-358. No resizing needed and no leading at all...shoots great.

Thanks to all for the quick and informative replys.

The smaller diameter does make sense.

The boolits are sized .356 ....will slug barrel and since I already have a .358 sizer die I should be good to go.

    Thanks again.

I own a pt92 afs. It will not shoot well with .356 sized boolits. .357 works well and so does .358. You may need to change your seating depth a little to handle the .358 diameter but as long as they will chamber you can shoot them.
Sizing to .358 will give your cases a little bit of bulge at the base of the boolit. You may need to pull a couple of them after loading to see if the base is getting swaged down by the case.
The Lee 125 round nose is one of the better performing boolits in my pistol.

I have shot the Lee 356 rn and tc in both my Taurus and Beretta 92's. I Size to 357 or 358 and they both shoot fine. Btw, both are TL's. Slug that barrel.
