.452 185 gr truncated cone, NOT a SWC?

Are there any molds out there for a .452 bullet, 185 gr, truncated cone, that is NOT a semi-wadcutter? I'm looking for something that emulates the 185 gr gold dot bullet, which one of my guns shoots very well. Closest I've found are some 200 grainers.

ETA: yeah, it may have to be a hollow point. I don't mind.

I bet Tom would help you tweak that, or a 200 grain design, to come up with what you want...

to make it super close you'd have to shift the center of balance slightly, because of the weight difference between the copper jaxket and the full lead body of the cast.

you'll also have to keep a careful eye on the bearing length and use a fairly small lube groove so as to not lose what you do have.
if you measure carefully you could get two full drive bands and taper the nose in from the font band with a small step.
this would allow you to seat right at the edge of the front band helping with head-spacing using mixed brass.

I was thinking of something like a lee tumble lube design as far as grooves go. Lee has a 200 grain truncated cone with a single normal lube groove. I was thinking as an experiment, machine it and have a single piece pin for both cavities.

I could TRY machining my own aluminum mold, being a machinist. No idea how to figure out how much it would weight. Maybe just copy the dimensions of a 185 or 200, make it a TL and HP?

If you copy a jacketed bullet, your bullet will be heavier because the jacket on the factory bullet is lighter than the solid lead that yours would be made of. The Gold Dot bullet is a hollowpoint, which would lighten that bullet as well. The 185 GD would probably weigh around 200 grains if it were all lead, and didn't have the hollowpoint. Plus the cast bullet has lube grooves to contend with.

the one D.J. shows at the top is a truncated cone style.
the bottom one is shaped more like the xtp bullets.
to get the bottom one even closer to the xtp you'd have to finagle the hollow point a bit.
