Turnbull 50-110, I love the case color. Fast twist (1:20) for the big 500+grainers 30" barrel

Cost will be a smaller mortgate too. but it is sure nice
Whoa STUNNING is the word!
Really nice, I'm envious.
I really like Turnbull's colors too. I'm not jealous. Well, maybe just a little.

My brother was passed down an 1886 Browning (I got the original 1886 45/90) that had some custom work done by Turnbull before my father passed. It is drop dead gorgeous. The colors are like none other.
FYI- Most well respected custom shops that offer case coloring actually send it off to Turnbull.
That is a fine piece of Iron, Update us with loads and pics.....
Nice - And just think - Every time you pull the trigger you get a free Chiropractic adjustment.

Nice rifle and I am sure you'll like it.
It looks like it started life as a M71 and the woodwork looks a little different to a M71 too. With that long octagonal bbl you have it should dampen recoil somewhat too.
There have been some well designed group buy moulds that will suit this rifle and you might want see if you can get hold of some of them. They have well located crimp grooves and most have provision for GC's, allowing good velocities without leading. That rifle should easily duplicate 458WM ballistics with a fatter bullet.
Thx guys. I am a paper shooter so will keep it tame. Got some loads using rl15 pushing a 525 at 2200
No thanks!
You should be proud of that one.

I am jealous that is a great looking rifle
That is one beautiful rifle, congrats. Did you send him a rifle to customize for you or was it one the he built? I have a Winchester/ Miroku 45-90 that I'd love to have the case colors done and change the butt stuck to the shotgun style as yours has. The curved steel can be a bit much with even moderate 420 gr loads. The factory wood on mine is very nice, but not even close to the same catagory as yours, so I'm a bit reluctant to go thru the stock swap. Good luck with it, always nice to go to the range with a rifle that almost no one else there has or even knows what it is! Bill in MA
I purchased from someone that had it built then had to sell. Action is a win 1886. Not sure who provided parts
Very beautiful. Now go out and get it dirty!
Nice Rifle! If you ever get to Western NY, check out his Shop on routes 5&20 in Bloomfield NY. I grew Up in Bloomfield and spent many a hour in his Dad's gun shop until it closed.
Where do you live? When are you going to be out of town?
