Nothin much. I cut off and drilled out an old die so I could use my old Lyman Powder measure on my turret press.

made myself a homemade media separator today out of an old tote 18" of bolt stock washers nuts some wood and...................a wire mess trash can!!! the size of the mess in the trash can is perfect for my corncob media i tried it without any brass but just media and the media got stuck till i tapped on the can a bit so i tossed in some freshly tumbled brass and viola the brass knocks all the media out of the can. very basic build and it only took my about ten minutes tops to complete

^^^ I made a similar one for my SS media. I made it a little smaller so it fits in the wash tub in the garage. Works Great!

Yeah i had everything except the bolt stock laying around so i figured i would give it a try. Ive run two batches through it now without a problem. Better than spending 40 bucks on one.

Heres some things I have made over the years to help my reloading habit. First, a set of loading blocks I made about 1960, in my Dads shop using his drill press and Fostner bits. Still use them.

Then there is the deprimer tool I made about the same time, from a 5/16" bolt with a hole in it to hold a piece of 3/32" music wire filed down to the right diameter. Outside of bolt was also filed down. Over the years it had to be cut short, repined, and finally I drilled it for a needle bearing needle from a U-Joint. Over the years I have turned the rough filing job down on the lathe also.

Next is a bullet box for cast bullets my dad made me, holds 722 45's in two layers

Heres a bullet puller I made from a piece of pipe and a bearing about 25 years ago. The pipe is rebated to hold the bearing and other end fits over the die. Includes drill, tap and allen wrench to pull case. Used it last week.

Next, a holder to hold .308/.30-06 cases while trimming, inside and outside deburring and primer pocket reaming in the lathe. Made from a piece of 1 X 2 with a 31/32 hole and a 6-32 bolt to hold it together. Made about 25 years ago, used it last week.

Next, a shell feeder for my CH Autochamp I made 3 weeks ago, screwed the colander to the block of wood and tapered a hole into the tube, works great. A copy of one I made 20 years ago.

I dig the shell holder idea! I might have to borrow that one. I am using nails right now but that is way slicker!

I used a section of a load bar from one of our trucks for the rack itself, and a piece of 1/8" aluminum for the backing to hang the unit.

Got one of the new Rebel 17 tumblers from STM and thumbscrews are way too hard to fully tighten.
Came up with this 'wrench' made out of wood so it doesn't scratch the top of the drum.

This is one of the best threads on the Net! If you made something, or modified something, PLEASE post it, not matter how trivial you think it is. There are an infinite number of ways to do something and any idea generates more ideas.

Tangentially related to reloading. My home-made Moon Clip loader:

I have some more stuff in my workshop, but its 12* out and has been snowing all day.
