I just ordered one, there combo 00 on one side and #4 on the other I think this should be a great combo, like two molds in one and they each produce 10 ea., all for the cheap price of 39.95, how can you lose on such a deal.

Here's one my tool maker friend and myself made about 30 years ago, he did the machining and I assembled the thing scribing vent lines in the alloy, making and tapping for the file handles and hinge etc..

I just cast lead with a little tin then clip off the sprue with side cutters later, the shot is nothing pretty with clipped sprue but it works fine and I've shot plenty of it.

My phone pics are pretty bad but you'll get the idea.

Has any one had experience using the $40 buckshot molds shown above? I might be interested.

I've got that mold, it works fine just need to make sure you have straight cutoff cutters to cut the sprue off, he sells them or gives them to you. Can do both sides at a time.

Lee offers buckshot molds in 18 cavity IIRC.

Mt Lee works very well but it does like to be run fast and hot, really fast and hot! Otherwise fillout isn't good. Once up to temperature and going hard it casts great.

Harbor freight tools use to have a small pair of flat cutting cutters for cheep. Some use them at work for cutting ty-wraps flush. [pull ties]
They should work well on soft lead and cut flush.
