Well, I think your tool sticks to the saying, "If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing." You must have a pretty good sized lathe to be able to make something that big.

Nice! When I was a machinist we called those "Government Projects". Sure made a lot of motorcycle parts, I miss having the access.

Yea but how long does it take you to do a hundred that way? Yikes! Are you at least converting the brass to boxer prime?

I can do #50 steel cases in about 1/2 hour.....I haven't even seen brass 7.62X39 . I'll reload the steel 3x with reduced loads....

I picked up a hydraulic decapper on eBay. In the brass 7.62x39 it won't even budge the primers. I'm hoping that after I have painstakingly removed them by other means and remove the crimp that they will come out for the second reloading with the hydraulic tool.

What's the deal about the time? Its a hobby, not a job, time should not be an issue. Or do you time how long it takes you to eat dinner?

Very nice work on the decapper. You using Bedan Primers?

    +1

i took a 1/4" extension bit and sanded it down to fit snugly into a CCI aluminum berdan primed case. they reloaded just fine! and they nicely used boxer sized primers so i just removed the anvil from the primer and seat like normal.
