Can you SAFELY adjust a remington 700 factory trigger?
If you know what your doing and i mean KNOW, not think you know everything. there no harder to ajust safely then any other brand. You can make ANY trigger dangerous doing inept gunsmithing on it.
Years ago i had a gunsmith adj the triggers on my Rem 700 and XP100 with no problems since and that was over 30 years ago
Ditto on what Lloyd said, you have to know what you are doing. Watch this video from the Remington site

I had the trigger done on my 700 about ten years ago never had any issues before or after. I had a reputable gun smith do the work as stated above it's not a beginner project. Since mine is my deer rifle we settled on 4 pounds which was an improvement but not too light. FB
Get a Timmney trigger, have a knowledgeable smith install it, set it at the pull you want. Leave it alone and be forever happy. Especially if you leave it alone after you decide on pull.
