    1 for me

Called him in twice, I'm pretty sure it was the same bird, the second time was a charm. When he came in the first time the setup was bad. There was nothing for him to go behind so I could raise my gun without him seeing me. After a few minutes he got tired of hanging around and left. The second time he had a buddy with him and I waited for his buddy to get past me and when he went behind a tree, I raised my gun and when he came out the other side my gunsling was blocking the sights. Somehow I moved the sling without being seen and made the shot. He had a 9.5" beard and 3/4" spurs, nice heavy bird.

I was hunting in the mountains of NC while staying at my brother in law's house. Read the full story. http://doingitoutdoors.wordpress.com/

Good for you. I've hunted wild turkey several years but never got a clean shot. A friend told me he thought I was calling too much. That's always possible. I tend to get excited when they answer my call.
    Be careful,

Its easy to call too much because its hard to know how much to call. How far are you from Hot Springs NC? I go there to hunt turkeys every spring. Maybe we can get together.
