I need to buy stock in Tru-Oil, redid the Model 33

Well, I decided last week to redo the dried out stock of my Remington Model 33. After getting it back after a couple of years from someone else's hands who never oiled the darn thing I decided to clean it up and give it some new life. Not to mention the wood stock looks so darn good I thought it could use something, so it got four coats of Tru-Oil to bring out the grain. I should have done it years ago.

Whatever cannot be remedied, must be endured.

Very nice! I saw your previous post on your old timer Remington. I like using Tru Oil on old neglected stocks. I refinished an old Remington 510 a years ago that turned out nice and needs to be refinished again after years of use plus the metal needs some help as well. I have a weakness for old Remington 22's and try add new ones as I find them at reasonable prices.

    Nice Job.
Some of the older rifles have some beautiful wood under the old finish.

No one can ever convince me that any of the run of the mill .22's today will have wood that nice, there is something special about a good wood stock! Tru-oil is also a staple around here, it doesn't take much to keep a stock looking nice. Beautiful gun!

Why does a man with a 7mag never panic buy? Because a man with a 7mag has no need to panic!
