Henry in 45lc sold all 94 AEs as they would tumble rounds under the action locking the gun up. I also like the Marlins for there quick field stripping ability.

I'm really surprised it is even this close. I expected Marlin to be over 80%.

I've got too many Marlins to list, but I've got a Winchester or two and a Rossi as well so I am an equal opportunity levergun owner.

Decisions, decisions!! I have had Marlin 93s and 94s and like them a lot (just got a 94 in 25-20...not shot yet) These were antiques as was a -73 Winchester in .44-40. Still have it along with a Winchester 92 in .32-20 and a 94 in .30-30...but that having been said my really all time favorite lever action is the Marlin A1-Extra Ballard in .45-100-550 caliber!

both of the Marlins have been firelapped, per Marshall Stanton book. Both shoot cast real well with no leading.

A bunch of old Winchesters in my collection: '94 SRC's in .32-40 WCF (1 of 12,000 produced), .25-35 WCF, .38-55 WCF, 94 TD Oct rifle in .30 WCF (1st year for the calibre too, mfg 1895), 94 RB rifle in .32-40 WCF, 94 carbine in .30 WCF (a PCMR carbine that was WW II issue), a 94 Big Bore in .375 Win. (early BB serial #), 3 x 92 SRC's in .44 WCF, 2 x 92 RB rifles in .32WCF, plus an '86 short rifle in .45-70 Govt. (a Browning Arms repro) and if you include High Walls and Low Walls as "lever guns" then an 1885 HW in .32-40 WCF, an '85 HW in .38-55 WCF and an '85 Low Wall with British proofs in .22 WCF (re-chambered to standard .22 Hornet years ago) ... ) plus one "orphan" Marlin 1893 rifle in .32-40 WCF just to break up the monotony!)

Winchester followed by Savage. Model 94 in 30-30 is just classic, but for me the newer manufactured 1885 Extra Light in 45-70 is tops. Model 99's are what I started out shooting. The 25-35 was sort of the family "right of passage" hunting rifle.

Shot my first deer with a 300 Savage and hunted for years with a 38-55 that has been passed down. It still has the original saddle ring and still drops a deer like nobodies business.

A friend of mine sold me one for $150 because the stock was cracked. I got a rough one and fitted/sanded it myself and it was a nice project. Great gun.

I voted Marlin as I've been shooting them over 50 years and all mine have at least 35 + to 50+ years on them. They've all taken mucho game and have sentimental value as well as practical. I would rather have had the opportunity of choosing more than one, however. I have two older Winchester M94 Trappers (30/30 and .45 Colt) that I like extremely well. But my very favorites are two older Savage M99As. One is in .308 and the other in .250/3000. The .250 has killed more deer than I can even begin to count and is my all time favorite deer rifle. The .308 is wonderful with cast bullets. I'll stick with my Marlin vote simply due to all those years.

I started out with Winchesters and collected them for quite a while until their prices went out of sight. Upgrading some of my earlier purchases is pretty hard on a pension/Social Security income. Here's a couple that I managed to acquire before they went out of sight. Here's a few early carbines in 38-55, my favorite caliber in the early Winchesters.

This one has the pistol grip, shotgun style butt, Express rear sight, factory sling swivels with an original (or at least period) sling, Lyman side sight and was made in 1916. Unfortunately, it's too new for a factory letter authenticating the features, but any of the carbines with special order features are pretty scarce.

While it's probably the most desirable of my Winchesters, I'm really partial to the half-mag models. Here's a couple.

When the Win's started getting too pricey, I switched to Savage 1899's. Fortunately, I got into them before they, too, went off the charts price-wise and managed to get some pretty decent pieces. I'm going to have to get some pics over the next few days and get them posted. That will keep the thread going, too.
