    I'll have to retract that statement. Went to the back of the gunsafe to find the early 70's model 25. Similar, but not the same. Also checked my Savage Striker and CZ trainer. No match. Sorry.

    The Savage 84c mag has 2 lock notches, this one has just 1.
    The Remington notch looks a little larger and on the bottom mind just has one hole.

    I have one just like it that just dropped out of my winchester 69A. I think it will also fit the 75 and other winchesters of that era.

    Does the Winchester have the small lock notch?

    look at the bottom of the mag, it should have a s or a w or a r stamped on it.

    s=savage
    w=winchester
    r=remington

    All 3 of those mfg's had mags that looked identical to each other. The letter stamped on the bottom will tell you which one.

    That's the problem there's no markings on it.

    My winchester mag has a locking bump on the right side, at the top of the rear groove. Your photo shows that your mag is lacking this feature. Mine has the wichester logo on the bottom.

    I believe it will work in the Win 52 or 75 models. Very similar, the only difference is that there is no Lock/Notch on them. Even the after market mags for the Winchester doesn't have the lock/notch.

    This is probably a after market mag. anyway, being there is no marking on it. So for a 5 rounder I'll just put it away till I see one like it.

    Thanks for your help guys.

    It's a savage mag, savage is the only mag that looks like that & has the notch down low on the mag. The remington's & winchester's don't have that notch.
