    03A3 surprise!

Went to the range yesterday and there as a fellow there that was just finishing up and ask if I wanted his target frame and bench set up? sure I will just put new targets on. Well I put targets on the 100 yd frame but didn't want to go to the 200 frame (Lazy).I was very happy with the 03 with 18.5 gr of WC820 and a 200gr boolit (LEE) 2.5" al in the 10 and X ring. I looked through my spotting scope and noticed that the 200 yd target didn't have any hs in the Xring and only one in the 10, so I shot 10 rounds wit 60gr WC860 and a 200gr (LEE) and then proceeded to shoot my 45/70 at 100. When I was ready to leave I had to pick up the targets and put them up so I got n my PU and went and retrieved tem. When I got to the 200 yard I was very surprised the 10 round I had shot were 8 in the X ring and 2 in the 10 ring, what a surprise as this was better than I shoot at 100 yds. Guess I will try more at 200 (this is the limit at the range)

I have had Rifles that printed 2or3" at a hundred, and shot great at 200yds, i think the term, Bullet goes to sleep, applies here.

Great shooting, just wish my local range had a 200 yard range. I'd like to see what my .308 Tikka and M/N is capable of at that distance.

Well done. It is satisfying when you shoot at your best ability.

    My A3 shoots Match Kings like that. 2" to 3" @ 100, and 1.25" @ 300.
Yet the same rifle will shoot moa with a C312-185-1R to 200yrds.
So that makes cast far better than the spendy stuff untill you get way out there.
That's the way I see it any way.

If you don't have the time to do it right, when are you going to find the time to fix it?
