    Mailing Cast Boolits.

    Not loaded ammo, just un-lubed cast boolits.
    A gentleman I know want to try some 9mm LEE 125 gr. 2R
    before he buys a mold.

    Any issues sending these through the USPS??

    well considering that we have been sending 60+ pounds of lead in flat rate boxes since they came out with flat rate boxes, I would say your pretty safe.

    You can even lube them with out any issues if you want.
    This isn't loaded ammo. It isn't powder and it isn't primers.
    There is nothing explosive about cast boolits.
    I suppose if you were sending them to California that there might be some law there cause they are just weird there.

    i'm sure you can still send 125 gr lead ingots to califonia.
    just tape the boxes super well and mail them.

    runfive: I wouldn't be so sure of that. Don't forget, lead is a hazardous substance!! And is known to the state of Kalifornia to cause whatever it is that is causes!

    Are there any regulations regarding shipping jacketed bullets via the USPS?

    I've mailed boolits with the smallest flat rate box which is limited to 4 pounds (I think) and didn't have a problem. I should have used some bubble wrap to keep them from jostling about but they were un lubed. Another fellow wanted to try some Lee 356-102 1R and 358-105 SWC for his .380. He said they got there ok. The lady at the post office shook the package and asked if I was mailing my marble collection. I just smiled. Frank
