    wad punch question #2

    ok guy's,
    since you were such a great help i'll ask another question. i recently bought 2 .36 cal cap n ball revolver's. i was on tow and didn't see a wad punch for the .36 cal. will a .38 cal punch work?

    go to the hardware store ( now that mite take some doing} get a 3/8" arch punch. that will cut .375 wads which will work for .36 cap and ball pistold and .38-55 rifles.

    Chuck the 3/8" punch into a drill press on low speed and punch them out over a wood block.

    Any suggestions for the diameter of punch for a .44 cal?

    I use the 7/16" punch and it fits the chambers just fine.
