    Weird stuff in the berm

I've been finding some rather unusual projectiles in the berms in my mining operation.

That last one looks like an expanding full metal jacket bullet.

The back end of the 40 S&W sure looks odd too.
Is that some kind of plastic inside of it??

The 40 S&W looks like a dummy/snap cap type of round. The last looks like something LE would use, ie, a non penetrating round.

The first one is indeed a shotgun sabot round. First brought to the U.S. by Danarms, then bought out and introduced by Winchester---(IRRC). They flew like a dart, but they weren't able to expand much because of the hardness. They were originally made for barricade shooting by police, the ability to penetrate engine blocks/cars.

The 40 S&W is a snap cap, the plastic in the primer pocket is to cushion the FP so it won't break,(won't anyway, but it's insurance).

I've seen the one on the bottom, just can't recall who made/makes it.
He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion."

Heck I thought the first picture was a projectile fired from a PCV spud gun with a large dose of hair spray...

The first is a Winchester BRI shot gun sabot slug, or an original BRI sabot slug. Very hard, no expansion, and accurate. The second seems to be a home made practice round, as the only other practice rounds I have ever seen are orange plastic. The third is definitely an expensive piece of copper. Build up a pile of that copper for the CASH!
