    My remarked Winchester/Miroku E.L.

Since getting my Winchester/Miroku 86 Extra Light I have been busy getting rid of the crappy rebounding hammer feature, and a sear mod and switching hammers to have a true half cock safety. I sent the 86 to Mike Hunter of Hunter Restorations out of Plato Mo to have the tang safety slot filled, tang and barrel remarked, and reblued. I got it back and heres the pics. This is how it should have left the factory in the first place. All Jap markings are gone.

She looks better after I applied the French Red and a nice hand rubbed Tru Oil finish too.
