    That'll teach me

After asking about my 25-06 Handi in another thread, I made the mistake of stopping at the same store it came from this morning.
    For $200.14 I now also own a 7mm-08 in a Handi.
    Dang them cheap rifles!

On lay-a-way at the moment, have to wait for more money to come in
    to bring it home.
Am I addicted or is this temporary ?

It might be just me but I think the single shots are the way to go, I don't have a handi but I have a TCR-87 with 3 barrels and a Contender with 6 barrels.

    No it is not temporary.

The Handy addiction may be temporary, but you'll only move on to other "drugs".

gewehrfreud is probably right. The drug will DEFINITELY change. But it only gets better, although it is habit forming.

I have several H&R shotguns, then had to have a rifle so got a .45-70 BC. Then found a decent deal on a Contender in .44 Mag, now have several extra barrels for it too. It's temporary, I'm sure it's temporary. It has to be temporary. I can quit anytime......

Your downward spiral will be entrenched when you buy a lathe, to make inserts for stubbed shotguns.....

This process progresses strangly, after a few handies I find myself drawn to top break revolvers.

I have a hankering for a Handi type rifle.

I was doing OK until someone ??? mentioned a lathe to make inserts for a stubbed shotgun - I have a single barrel shotgun and a lathe .... and a hankering!
I even have loose 303 Brit barrel lying around.

Single shots are what I have went to! I have had AK's, AR's, M1's, Hakims, simi auto 308's and they just make me tired. I can go to the range with 30+ or - rounds and have fun and when I get home I do not collapse, also spend a lot less time casting and loading. I must be getting old those seven decades have been rough on me.
