crimping heeled bullets

how do u crimp heeled bullets?? the bullet nose for my 50 cal antique is the same
size as the brass. so i made a crimper useing cheap lineman pliers. works like a hot dam. it,s hard to see the crimp. i gave it .005 thou. it seems to work.

The one time I did it I used a Lee rifle FCD (.32 Win spl IIRC) and held the cartridge in from the top. I used a shellholder that fit the cartridge rim and a stack of washers taped together to suspend the round at the correct height for the crimp and to get consistent crimp location.

no i did not remove it. i just contacted them about this removal and no answer yet.
i lost the green get pic button on my photobucket acct. somtimes i click where the botton is suposed to be and sometimes it works , most times it don,t.
i just fixed the first pic

Lee will custom make their pistol FCD and it works fine to brass length. I have one for my .41 Colt.
