zinc sinker ?

I've got a 8oz. and 6oz. mold for fishing sinkers, I'd like to cast some 7 oz. sinkers. I'm thinking about mixing some wheelweights with zinc wheelweight to lighten the 8 oz. mold.
Good idea, bad idea, will it mess up my mold, I've got a 10 lb cast post to use. Any idea on a ratio?

You could take the 8 oz lead sinker and drill a hole in it.

Bad idea.Zinc takes more heat than lead.Could mess up mold.Get a mold for 7 oz.sinkers.

i have used aluminum hi temp spray paint to coat my molds to protect them but a zinc weight is 3/5 the weight of lead so a 8 oz sinker will be only 5 oz or so , and can be easily displaced by running water , stick to lead , also zinc will mix with lead to only a small amount of zinc to lead after that it gets oatmealy and seperates , not advised , buy a new mold best bet
