    DIY..Portable Shooting Bench

I've been inundated with requests for the plans for my "Swivel Top - Portable Shooting Bench"...So to make it easier for folks I wrote a short article complete with dimensioned drawings on my web site.

    Hope you enjoy it!

I had never seen or heard of this bench, yet I looked at it and can say it looks quite good. Thanks for sharing your ideas, AND plans!

THANKS BUDDY You have just ruined over 4 years of painstaking research, development and many k$ spent on building MY bench.

Seriously thanks for sharing some GREAT improvements we can make to our benches with minimum cost and labor.

    Great ideas. Keep them coming.

I would like added is some quick and easy way to lock down the swivel. Otherwise it looks like close to an ideal bench. If I had property on which to shoot it would be one of the first things I built.

If you look in the photo album you'll see I mounted another "T" nut in the swivel section and I have another bolt with a wing head that locks everything together.

The only change I'd make is the legs. It would be 100% if all the legs had individual height adjustment.

I also us a spiral , screw in type, tent peg under the table with a ratchet stap to tie the whole thing firmly down to mother earth.........Rock Solid after this.
