    Remington RB

Just wondering, if the experts could help:

on another site there is a Remington RB (Custom Shop) in unfired condition

serial number, second off the line at the Custom shop?

just wondering, what the value would be?

Also, that makes it special with a RB0002 serial number, if it is a new custom shop? Can't be an antique, can it?

IMHO, it's most likely a newer RB, made in 1997 (the run was 1997-2000).

The early SN should make it a Creedmore Model, the 1st of three different models, the only one with CCH receiver & half-octagon tapered bbl.

ALL the 1997-2000 Remington RB's came through the Custom Shop.

The BBV in 100% NIB condition = $2800.

this one appears to be a round barreled, blued receiver. in 45/70

does appear new in the pics.
he is asking the BBV, TYD

I would love to have one of these, or similar, but can't see myself getting one for awhile yet.

and I doubt I'd ever buy a new one.
but I was really interested in the values.

    thanks for the reply pietro.

if anyone is interested I can PM the link

If it's the std. one(round barrel), that sold new for $1500, I wouldn't give more for it, they're not special, and one would prolly end up with a more accurate gun if you bought a beater action and a new match barrel from R. Smith or even Gr. Mtn. and make up your own.

    yup... that is the one.

I really like the look of it. I was wondering the value cause if I'm ever going to look into something like this, I'll need to have done my research.

my very bestest favorite for looks is a Ruger 1. But there is also something about the RB what trips my trigger.
I just bought a RB in .357 and am looking forward to playing with it too

    Good morning
You might consider one of the used Pedersoli Rollers for sale. Bought one some years ago with the Soule sight, globe front, two stocks in 45-70 for less than $650. Very accurate rifle.

.............I've got a Pedersoli Super Target, or Super Match in 40-65. I forget, but monikers aside, it's a beautiful rifle and superbly accurate. A bit of a pain to hold up with it's 34" bbl. Being 1" OD at the muzzle with just a 40 cal hole through it the weight is all out front, which makes it 'hang' well. I did just a tiny bit of work on the sear and lightened the mainspring a tad. Pedersoli does a fantastic job on their barrels.
