    Load markings / Scrubbing Hulls

Just wondered how various members go about marking their loads for ID when in the field or at the range.

Does any one else "scrub" their hulls, ie remove the factory load info printed on them ? I take a wad of fine steel wool with a bit of rubbing Ach. and it does a good
job but is time consuming, anyone have a better way ?

    Thanks

You can buy a stamp set from Ballistic Products. I keep my different loads well marked and separate then mark the primer with coloured markers. Then when you reload the marked primer is gone. I read about this system in a manual but cant remember where I read it and the author for credit.

If you want to remove the load info on most hulls
PVC cleaner on a rag will wipe it right off

For the most part I use different hulls for different loads for target loads
These boxed and kept seperate from hunting loads

But for hunting loads , I only use a few different hulls that I normaly get for free

I used a Sharpie or paint pen to write the load on the hull

So to easly tell what shot size is in the hull regaurdless of the load
I use a ink pad and press the base of the hull onto it after loading
    Red is #4
    Blue is #5
    Black is #6
    Green is #7 or 7 1/2

I finally got some PVC Cleaner and gave this a try. Wow you were right on
the money, old markings, dirt, etc comes right off. Thanks for the tip.

I also picked up some "Sharpie Metallic" fine tip pens and these work great to
ID the current load. They write in a Silver/gray ink, so it shows up on even the
    dark colored Hulls.
