    Marchena (Italy) 45-70 Sharps

    Hey Guys,
Saw an add for a Sharps rifle in 45-70 that was real reasonable, but thought I'd run it by the experts before I get too interested. The guy says he will send pics and I'm still waiting on those. So basically, I'm asking if anyone has had any experience with the Marchena Sharps, and to get an ideal of what kind of quality to expect.
I know someone on here has owned one or more, so don't be bashful, give it to me straight!
Thanks in advance for your help,
    Wayne

I have an IAB sharps percussion carbine and it works fine but is not very high quality. I also owned a 45-70 one several years ago and it also worked fine but again quality was low.

    Hey Nick,
Think you would buy another if the chance came around?

Depends on price and condition as well as if I were in the market for another sharps. I know a couple of guys who shootg one of the newer ones and they are happy with them and they were slightly higher quality.
