Which Handles to Use with Miha Moulds?

Whose mould handles will fit Miha moulds? I have one of the 270 SAA clones.

The Mihec moulds are designed to use Lee handles. However, Mihec also offers VERY nice handles made of steel with nice wood handles and stainless steel ferrules. His handles are premium handles cut from steel plate (instead of cast like Lee's are).

As for the Lee handles, do you have to use the 6 cavity handles, or will any of them work? I ordered the Miha handles, but somehow, my order got messed up and I did not get them.

Actually, the Lee Six Cavity handles fit both four cavity and two cavity Mihec moulds.

Mihec's handles are a lot nicer than Lee's but I bought most of my Lee handles before I "knew" Mihec. I have a number of Mihec's handles and prefer them. However, if they are not available Lee's work fine.

    Racer X,

Your in for a treat wiith that bullet. I finally cast and loaded some over 16.5 of 2400 in a starline colt case WLP primed. They averaged right at 285 grs.

In my FA M-83 it shot into nearly one hole at 25 yds...but that pistol is easily capable of such accuracy. I sort of expect it.

My real surprise was when I got 1.5" groups at 25 yds and under 3" at 50 yds out of one of my S&W M-625's. Obviously a very accurate bullet.

Average velocity @10 ft over my Oehler was 990 fps from 6" barrels.

    Smile

I don't know for sure, but Red River Rick out of our Northern neighbor, Canada, made some Beautiful Lee and Ideal style handles.

If he's still doing it, I'd contact him.
