    areoshell 22

    hey every one.
    wondering if any one has seen/heard of this stuff

    any thought or concerns about use a part of a lube would be great

    non melting so maybe would have probelms blending with other stuff

    Sounds like synthetic oil and Cab-O-Sil. They "might" be using an aerogel, but I don't think the price has gone down enough yet. The Cab-O-Sil or aerogel can't melt as they a silica oxides, but they will certainly mix with other oil, greases, and waxes.

    I did a bunch of lube testing a few years back and every one that contained any synthetic grease in any proportion ruined accuracy. I got no leading with any of them but didn't get any accuracy either. Disappointing, I had high hopes for the synthetics.

    Been a few others since then report the same results.

    silica like cab-o-sil which is interesting stuff you can gel water also with it
