    I'm still in shock !!

Today I was having lunch with a good buddy of mine. He's a retired industrialist and is more than well off. Anyway, after lunch he says, Hey come out to my car I have something for you. I figured it was some paperwork from the last Board meeting I missed. He hands me this large leather valise, a rather heavy one at that. I asked what it was and he said it's for you. But don't take it out here. It's an Uzi, I bought it 25 years ago to protect my boat from Pirates when I was going to the Bahamas.
So now I have an Series A Uzi in 9 mm, unfired. I'm not a big black gun fan but this may be fun to shoot..
I know, >>>Pictures>>> Soon as the batteries charge....

We had one at work, but you had to be a very pretty female officer or one of the 'in crowd' to get anywhere near it.

I don't know, I wasn't a pretty female or a member of the 'in crowd' (or, as we used to say 'my face didn't fit.'), so I never got to shoot it. Shot lots and lots of Owen 9mm sub guns in the Army though! They were fun once you learnt to handle them properly ( most soldiers never did). I was a pretty dab hand with them, but then again, I was never on a two way range.

A friend of mine let me shoot his full auto UZI once while visiting him in the desert. Took it out rabbit hunting and I fired a half magazine at a running jackrabbit. When the dust cleared, the rabbit was still running and I was laughing my head off.

I've always liked you from your posts Four Fingers, now I know why!

Great picture, the whole black rifle thing usually makes me grimace. Gopher guns with big mags and a flashlight!

Now that is some serious tactical weapon. Meant to do a dangerous job and do it well. Nice way to celebrate 50.

My experience was with the good old Canadian SMG of the last century. Amazing resemblance to a Sten and built like a big BB gun. I used to think that the only thing this wreck might kill is me. The Uzi would sure feel the opposite. To get an unfired one from a friend, priceless.
