    Wow! My bench is modest compared to some of these! I have my new casting equipment and Hornady Lock-n-load on the way. When I get them put in I will have to post some pics of my set up!

    hello

    I not find the post "presentation". then I'll do it here

    I'm French (I know, nobody's perfect ) i live in normandie, I shot mostly with handguns, since shortly with a shotgun and assault rifle. as this will consume a large amount of ammunition, reloading is required. here is the photo of my table reloading

    Welcome to the forum. Always ready to talk to our European friends. You have a nice compact set up. It should work very well for you.

    I have a pair of Dillon 550B's, a Lee Classic Cast Turret press, and an RCBS Rockchucker along with lots of dies and accessories. I have been reloading and shooting for sixty years.

    Question

    Dede laPole: Welcome to the forum. This is the best one on the net for talking reloading.

    I believe you get the award for the most reloading equipment per square inch.

    The British Empires' citizens have effectively been disarmed (they tried to do it here, w/ disastrous results for them ) ; what is the state of firearms ownership, hunting, and shooting in France?

    hello

    thank you all for your welcome. be603 I love you already: mrgreen: and your signature is the truth. I use the google translator. that's why I made short sentence. it can also be funny seeing strange result.

    actually, I optimize the site. I charge in my bedroom [smilie = l:

    regarding the regulation of arms in France is a bit complicated. we'll have a new regulation for 2011. we know the big line but we are in the fog. Today, in France, the firearms are classified by category, were the main 1, 4 and 5

    1 = War weapon
    4 = defensive weapon
    5 = gun hunting

    the acquisition of this weapon made with the agreement of the prefect (State Attorney). the record is long to do, for the weapons of 1 and 4.

    1) take a license to the French federation shooting
    2) 6 months of regular practice, controlled by a log fire
    3) a hire purchase and provide proof of purchase

    Once the folder accepted the direction gunsmith, there is a delay of three months to purchase. the document is valid for 3 years. after 3 years must redo the case.

    the aim is to discourage people. the ultimate goal is to disarm them.

    we do not have the chance to have a NRA. there are advocacy groups shooters but they lack the power of the NRA: holysheep

    Our biggest problem is the bureaucracy. there was also a great opinion manipulation in the short twentieth century. at the beginning of the century, the shot is compulsory school. at the end of the century, guns have been demonized, even the production of American film it caused a change in the law, we pumped shotgun has been banned for sale. I know it was hilarious.

    by-cons at home, we buy silencers like buying bread: cool:

    A Yes, we do not have the right to buy weapons that shoot in bursts. we are entitled to a maximum of 7 weapons percussions Central Class 1 and 4 and 1000 cartridges manufactured by years. that's why reloading is developed in France.

    Your description of firearms licensing requirements is chilling. Let it be a cautionary tale for all of us who enjoy (relative) freedom. As we approach the New Year it's a fitting reminder for us to renew memberships in RKBA organizations, re-double efforts to introduce new shooters to the exercise their right to keep and bear arms and to sign up family and friends to RKBA memberships. The 2nd amendment truly is the palladium of our Bill of Rights.

    Do you face similar licencing or permitting requirements for purchase of reloading components?

    hello

    yes, it's terrifying. and reload features are also subject to some administrative constraints. to buy cases, permission must be corresponding to the size of detention. to buy the other components, ball, powder, primer, it must submit its license of the French federation of shooting. reloading equipment is free from all constraint.

    defend your 2nd amendment because it goes without saying that the governors want a docile population. Thomas Jefferson said, the price of freedom is eternal vigilance.

    Fortunately, we are seeing anti-gunners melting away. With terrorism and violent crime being important to citizens, gun-friendly legislatures and governors are the rule rather than the exception (except in Kalifornia).

    Where I work, we have a civilian employee who does nothing but process applications for CCW permits. She has not had an opening in her schedule since Ohio passed its CCW law years ago and won't likely ever have an open slot. She is now starting to see 5-year renewals coming in. We will probably have to hire someone just to handle the renewals.

    Wait till the first time a group of Islamic terrorists goes on a Columbine-style killing spree in a mall or large sports event and see what happens to most of the remaining ant-gun laws in this country. And I DO expect that to happen, because that is exactly what I would do in their situation.

    Stopped in 2 gun shops today. Both were packed.

    Heard 3 commercials for gun stores on the radio for shops from Sacramento up to Redding. The one in Redding advertising Off List Lowers.

    CCW permit classes advertised in the papers.

    Hardly null and void.

    Is that a Lee classic turret press? If so do you use the auto index feature?
