The scrap yard I get lead wants $0.60 per pound for soft lead.
Get all you can afford and sell the surplus here on cast boolits.

is there ne way I can make some money on these, I.E make them into ingots perhaps make them into 20 to 1 or add some lino or ant?, or is there anyone that needs some lead I can ask him if he ships, or I can send ya some..
let me know thanks guys
make them into ingots and do a bhn test on them.
around a buck a pound shipped will sell just fine.
Buy it and run like a thief.
Hello the camp! If you need help bankrolling a buy, let me know. mm

A steal of a deal---spend your whole allowance! BUT GET A HARDNESS TESTER. Bullet casters tend to ignore lead sellers that don't know what they are selling. Give them a BHN hardness number that is honest and they will be happy.
In todays market, yeah, I would be buying that all day.
just got linotype .60 a pound, stuff is brittle, tell me good deal?, also should I mix this at 1 to 20 ratio or what,? gonna be for hollow point devastator mold and some rn in 45 & 9mm.
Thanks guys I really appreciate it!!!!!!!!!
Lino @ $0.60 is a steal. Its very sellable and tradeable.
Lino in a 1:20 ratio would do practically nothing for you but make a tiny filler and waste good lino.
Do the math.
Melting Stuff is FUN!Sent from my PC with a keyboard and camera on it with internet too.
Shooting stuff is even funner

Now this is just my Opinion and worth just what ya paid for it, but I would not add my Lino to a hollow point mold. I prefer my hollow points to be a tad on the soft side to help in expansion and Lino will harden them and be a waste of Lino. Dennis
ok not wanting to sound stupid but what am i gonna make with this lino?
Harder bullets, rifle bullets that maybe pushed to higher velocity's. Dennis
so 10mm bear country bullets? lol
am I going to have a problem getting this soft lead to cast?
ok melted this pure lead down and its real dirty lots o sandy type, and an oil look like a rainbow color, I mean this stuff is DIRTY what do I do ne one know what the color is about?
Try using DRY sawdust for fluxing. Actually, pine or spruce works best.
As far as the rainbow colours go, no need to worry. That's typical of pure Pb, it just means that your melting temperature is high.
