Also GB makes a product just like it. It's an emulsified wax; mostly paraffin based. (not talking about their clear gel lubes, this is an opaque yellowish cream) I wonder if it'd work for lubing pistol boolits? The stuff is pretty thick; would probably have to dilute it with a little boiling water.

It may seem solid but will liquify at the least heat, that is why it makes a good wire lube.

It's great for lubing boolits for running through Lee push-through sizing dies.
It is probably good for case lube for full-length resizing of bottle necked rifle cases, too.

I was hoping I'd found a cheap readily-available substitute for Rooster Jacket. Maybe only good for light loads, but that's OK because I shoot more subsonic ammo than I do hot stuff.

I'll try extending my LLA with paste wax next. It's Minwax rather than Johnsons, but I think it's the same thing -- although it's whiter and a little harder, might have more carnauba wax in it. (I've read Recluse's thread on JPW + LLA)
