Bullet Moulds for CZ 550 458 Lott and 416 Rigby

Sannee Claws might be bringing me two of these rifles to scope up and I'm looking at casting and loading data for both these calibers.
I think I'd like the keep the muzzle velocity around 1300 to 1400 on both of them.
    TIA,
    Duke

If you can track down a 462560 it would be great in the Lott.

    cast safari

Easy as looking up data for the comparable or close cousins within the older cartridges. To find the cousins of the modern 45 and 40/41 cals get an idea of relative case volume... doesn't have to be within .000001 gr.! Slug the bores on both for idea on what to size the cast to. Most all the the old cartridges have at least some smokeless data available. Pick a bullet design and weight to the liking of the rifles' twist rates. If you want fewer problems look for gas checked bullet designs. Powder? consider 5744 for velocities in your range.

I have a 4 cav 462560 and no it aint for sale .. Works great in the CZ 550 Lott ..

Also have a custom NEI two cav that throws IIRC a 450 GC and 570 GC ( in WW ) , got from a member here a while back , that could be sold if you're interested ..

There is also a NEI 458-645 GC mould #351 that is a two cav GC , WW runs around 730 grains , maybe part with ...

Dont forget ya can shoot win mags in the CZ , I do and they work well too ..

PM if your interested in either of these moulds ..

I have excellent luck with my RCBS 416 350 gr. FN design. I load it for my 416 Taylor with either 4320 or 3031 powders. I just got it back from Buckshot making a convertable mold out of it, either a hollow point or back to solid nose.Robert

The Lott is great in that you can run from trapdoor to more than you can stand in one rifle ..

If I had to pick one powder for cast or j's from trapdoor to more than you can stand , it would be 3031 ..
