Early in the discussion, someone requested a crimp groove to facilitate revolver use as well. Good for you Auto Rim guys. I also intend to use it as a high-speed/hard-smack/low-recoil .45 Colt bullet. Lever gunners take note as well!
In my continuing quest to find the perfect 1911 bullet, I decided that:
1. I LOVE my LBT LFN (which feeds like greased eel boogers and hits like a truck), but. . .
2. I wanted something like it in a tumble lube version to speed production. . .
3. From my recent .32/.380/9mm experiences, I really like Ranch Dog's slight beveling of the corners on the meplat, as it deals with the "ding" that sharp-edge designs get on their way up the feed ramp.
Expect Al's usual offerings of brass and aluminum, cavity counts of 2, 4, or 5, and hollowpoint options in the 2 and 4. Should be a good one!
