    Ballistic Programs for the big bores

    Just wondering,Does anyone make a program for the big bores like the old sharps,45 70,45 90 and such?

    Hornady's ballistic calculator on their website works pretty good.
    Long range rules, the rest drool.

    Quicktarget that comes with Quickload works great if you know all the parameters, or if you shoot and record your numbers to tune it in.

    If you really want something slick check out Field Firing Solutions software. It runs on a PDA and is by far the best ballistic program I have ever seen. Once you get it trained you'd be amazed at the hits you can make using it. (No, I don't sell it. I just see it in action a lot.)
