My old friend RR 1911 told me that she had cleaned a good spot on the mold shelf for this one, she even said that we should get some flowers.

Can't wait for the invoice to come. I've never been to eager to give my money to someone in all my life.
Would this work for a 45 colt if so is it still avilable in .452 HP with Penta and Round pins?
What would the price be with shipping?
Swede,
Should work awesome in a .45 Colt although it may be a little light. However this buy is already closed and we can't take any more orders at this time. I would expect another buy to open soon after this one is complete.
If you want more details look at post 197. Also if you page up from there you'll find a bunch of photos of this bullet.

just out of curiosity, but shouldn't this group by be in the closed group buy section? Just wondering Can't wait to get my mold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Miha group buys work a little different, don't worry, he will move it when he is ready to.
Is it here yet, is it here yet?

I have shot 1911's extensively in competition where NO alibi is allowed.
I consider the "proper" way to determine cartridge overall length in a 1911 .45 ACP is to remove the barrel from the pistol. Hold it vertically, chamber up and use it as a gauge. The loaded round should drop in until the base of the case is flush with the barrel hood (when using a cast bullet). Jacketed bullets should have just a bit more clearance (maybe .005" below flush).
This will headspace on the bullet giving consistent ignition and will give complete reliability in a good gun. It will also allow maximum accuracy available.
Here is a link to the best best illustration I have seen on this very question (scroll down for the picture):

Thanks alot Dale
It's a PIA
Much of my brass seems to be the same length as the chamber (the back of an empty case is even with the barrel hood).
So, I just ordered a lee trimmer.
BUT, it did show me that my LEE TL452-200-SWC 45 ACP, bullets were seated too long. I just adjusted the seating die, and reseated several hundred rounds. The pistol apparently was able to chamber the rounds by pushing them 10-20 thousandths into the lands.
I'll use this method to check each bullet type, and make the notation in the loading manual.
Putteral,thanks for the info
Hi Triggerhappy spures here, You have me on the list for .452. Can I change this to .454 ? If so how would I do this ? Thanks.
