Shakey Jakey;
I actually miss posted this. I have received my 200 gr H&G #68 clone from Mihec. However, I am still waiting on my H&G #503 clone, hence the fingers in my ears...

Hi Miha,
Your private message folder is full, I can't send you a message. I would like that last mold.
Thanks,
Mike

With regards to gun control in this country, everyone should be asking themselves one question:
What is it that this government feels they need to do, but can't do, unless the citizens of this nation are first disarmed?
(I seriously doubt you can come up with any plausible answers that you will like...)

No more molds.....
Hi all. I'm just starting out and seeing all these dang 6-digit mould numbers floating around simply baffled me... until I took a peak at the load data for the 45 ACP that I plan on reloading/casting. I purposely wasn't going to that part of my books because I wasn't ready for it yet. BUT NOW it makes sense, sort of...
So I read through (and searched) a lot of this thread and it looks like THIS mould would have been the cat's meow for me, thinking that my Lyman book tells me I want a 452460!
I take it my options now are, buy a Lyman new and/or keep looking in the For Sale section here? Another group buy won't come along for a good while right? Especially since this one is just now shipping?
I'll also keep an eye on this thread in case there comes an extra I suppose! Grats to all of you who took part of this buy; the reviews within this thread sound amazing!
Thanks! -Brad
Brad,
This Mihec 452-200 mold is similar to the Lyman 452460, but not identical. It has a longer nose and only one lube groove. while the 452460 has a shorter nose and two lube grooves. In fact it is a clone of the (out of business) Hensley & Gibbs #68.
Lee makes a bevel base version that is very, very similar, in both 2 and 6 cavity. With the 6 cavity you have to order handles to go with it. Or, you can get the Lyman 4 cavity 452460 (plus handles). I got the Mihec because I didn't want bevel base, and the quality of the mold is higher.
I give loading advice based on my actual results in factory rifles with standard chambers, twist rates and basic accurizing.
My goals for using cast boolits are lots of good, cheap, and reasonably accurate shooting, while avoiding overly tedious loading processes.

A few musings.
I have to butt in here on the quality of the MiHec.
I own a 4 cavity H&G 68 (I'm the original owner)
a Lyman 460
The Lee clone.
I would say you will see the Lee, H&G and Lyman for sale from time
to time on the various websites. I doubt you will ever see a MiHec...
certainly never mine!
It's that nice!

I would suggest that any who want to buy this mould to send a PM to Mihec and ask him if he has any extras.
The Mihec #68 flat base .452 is my favorite and most used bullet for my .45 ACP/Auto Rim Autos and Revolvers.
