When drying the Silica Jel disiccant paks, are there any harmful or toxic hazards to consider?

If there is let me know. I still have a couple GALLONS I have been re drying for about 40 years.
There are different types of desiccant packs. Some are silica gel. Some are clay. Some are salts. I've always used the silica gel type.
When my moisture indicator strip turns pink, I put the silica gel in the oven at 275F for a few hours & then they are as good as new again. I've done that for 20 years.
I've never had any trouble except for a few of the bags opening up. Apparently, some brain trust type of genius thought that it would be a good idea to put that stuff in a bag that was sealed with hot melt glue so that they could be sold as disposable 1-use only bags. I just staple those shut before they go into the oven. That has always worked fine for me.
