Id so love to at least get to shoot one once. The idea of Slug gun goes back to the Civil War ? For some of the Snipers?

Very good article. I've always been fascinated by those rifles. There are so few people left in the US who shoot them. If I had a home machine shop, building one with all its assorted tools would be a good project. I just wonder how many men it takes to deal with that 100 pound rifle, lifting it off the bench after each shot to reload. 69 caliber with 1765 grain bullets is something else!
That was fascinating!!!
I am in the works of aquiring a Bresien Slug Gun from Brother SPG, hope to pick it up next weekend.
