    Badger Barrels

A friend of mine recently told me that Badger was going to stop making BPCR barrels. According to him he read it in one of the major gun magazines. I have not seen the article.

Is there any truth to this? I was hoping to order a C Sharps 1885 next spring and this has gotten me wondering what C Sharps will do for barrels if this is true.

If true, that would be a big loss to the sport.
That I could be wrong is an eventuality that has not escaped me. I just painted the pictures as I saw them. I do not know how to do anything else. (Saint Elmer, 1955)

Well when C sharps has to quit because they can't get the badgers any more.... And I do know a custom gunsmith that has not much problem getting badgers. And the Winchester bpcr higwalls are made with badgers (as are some of the traditionals)
True there's a couple folks around that can't get some wierd twisted thing in 38 etc, but in the end I'm confident enough that Badger is still turning out bpcr barrels to say so.
Could put up a link to the thread where some expert had it from good information , that badger wasn't making any gun barrels , only paint ball barrels....

This isn't the one I was looking for, but it may help to clear the air a tad.

I just pulled up Badger Defense aka used to be Badger Barrels, no mention of BPCR barrels on the web site, I have an email into John Chase a long time friend and former Team-mate of mine when we fired for Australia in 2002 World Match. He is a close friend of Erine and perhaps he can shed light on the issue.

Best as I understand from second hand contact with Ernie is, yes they were still making the bpcr barrelsand other sporting , but the defense contracts come first ( as it should be)

I was very recently talking to someone at Buffalo Arms regarding a Badger barrel order. They had no .45 cal 1-18 heavy Sharps barrels on hand, but said that Badger would be making more once there were enough orders.

    Thank you for the replies.

I guess the general consenus is that the barrels are still going to be made?

My friend did not mention that Badger had been sold to a larger company.
