    Lube quantity vs temperature

I have been playing with the NOE 460-350 plain base and simple lube this summer. I noticed a measurable improvement in accuracy when I fill only 2 of the 3 lube grooves. Is this a temperature dependent characteristic of the load or simply my rifles' preference? Seeing as a bunch of you guys seem to run summer and winter lubes, I tend to think it won't be as easy as filling another groove for November hunting loads but maybe it is. Has anyone found a correlation between lube quantity and temperature?

Normally I just use WLL carnauba red for most of my boolits, but I found an old stick of RCBS rifle lube, so I finger lubed a pile of 30 cal boolits, put a gas check on them and sized them, then TL with JPW.

The JPW hardened in a day or two out in the very hot shed, and the boolits performed flawlessly. No leading, either....I used several different loads, and while the all fired differently, the grouping was great. I'll decide later on what load I want to sight the rifle in with.....

Did I ever mention that I hate to trim brass?
