It is a 44 mold with a number 429220 stamped on one block half and a partial name{****AL MFG Co.} and New Haven,Ct. USA below the manufactures name.
Odd pointed bullet (boolit) nose with square lube grooves. A pure lead boolit weighs 175 grns. It is a plain base and the blocks are small with the handles and the blocks being a unit. Alas, one handle was broked and has been brazed back together. The repair is well done and adds some uniqueness to the mold. It won't do for lever guns but revolvers might like it. Testing in the 44 629 S&W is coming shortly......
So, did I get taken if I gave $15 American?
