MP 30-180 4-banger. Had some trouble with it, finally fixed it by reaming the back and front locator holes - it was sticking, keeping the mold from closing, and once closed, didn't like to open & had to be coaxed. AOK now, and turned out some dandy boolits.

I cast about 100 Lyman 500 grain boolits out of #2 alloy.

514ea of the NOE version of the Lyman 311440 & appox. 650ea Accurate 45-200E. Also managed to inspect them all plus size & lube the 45s.
62 degrees and sunny today so after church and some more trimming of the tree in the front yard, I just had to cast some bullets. I've been shooting quite a few .308 loads lately and after shooting and reloading the 12 gauge shotgun slugs from last week's outing, I chose those molds to use today. The radio was so I could listen to the playoff games while casting.
8 pounds each of the Lee C309-170-F and the Lee 1 ounce 12 gauge slug.
It's only 330 of the rifle bullets and 130 slugs but I'm used to the 6 cavity molds where the same number of pours would have yielded about 1760 bullets but then again it's probably a year's worth of projectiles for these guns while 1760 handgun bullets will last me less than 2 months.

The mold was oily so it took a while to stop throwing wrinkly bullets.
By the time I got her running smooth I had to quit. Al does make one sweet mold!
Cast a new bullet to try in the 300 Blackout. The NOE 311 152 SP, it was a success! This mould is a clone of the Lyman 311414, the nose is much smaller diameter than bore and allows for PC coating. One FTF with a magazine the has problems on the last round and they shot about 1.5 inches at 50 yards in the snow. I have not figured out how to shoot off a rest with this gun yet. If I throw out the fliers, I am getting about .5 inches at 50!
