It was 104° on Saturday but Sunday morning in the garage it was 78°, (at 0345) so I turned on the light, plugged in the pot, turned on the hot plate and made a few C223-55-RF. It doesn't go real fast with a 2 cavity mold, but I was enjoying myself listening to some birds chirping and watching the sun come up out of the corner of my eye. I stopped at about 0730 when my son came to help me with trimming my tomato plants. What a wonderful morning, I so love this hobby.

Michael those sure are some shiny, well filled-out bullets.

The post office lady always asks what’s so heavy. I tell her it’s my mother in laws fruit cake.

Thank you for the compliment. Bottom pour on the 9 and .308 but ladle on the postell. Whenever I have issues casting the biggie I just add a little tin and thy all look this good or better. Love it

Thanks, LAH. Those bullets were cast, coated, and sized in about 6 hrs. or less. I don't use the 10-cavity mold very much but for some reason I don't have a .38 SWC Thompson bullet in a smaller mold. Now a 358429-style bullet I got ya covered. I don't mind using the 10-cavity but it sure is a bear to use especially when it is hot outside. I was standing about 2 feet away from a fan the entire time I was using it. It MiHec will ever come thru I will have a 4 cavity slick-sided Thompson SWC that should absolutely rain bullets. My guess is it won't be too far off the mark making bullets when compared to the 10-cavity H&G.

I got my Lee 4-20 going and cast 500 of the Lee 452-230-tc. The mold was working well and things went smoothly. It only took me about 40 minutes. Now to size and lube.

Nothing lately, but I smelted a bunch of lead right at the end of the winter. About 7000# worth. I posted pictures and even had a contest guessing the number of ingots that was in a pile that went to a buddy. My casting is about over for now, until it cools off. It was 101 here yesterday with high humidity. But during the spring I cast a couple of times a week for a half data a time. I cast enough H&G 68's to load the 5 gallon bucket of 45's that I've got primed and enough H&G 503's to load the 2500 44 magnums that I have primed.

I like to cast when I can have a coupe of buddies over and we cast in my shop. It seems that I can stay at it longer when I have a buddy or two to talk with. My Wife usually fixes lunch for us. Come on cool weather.

Yesterday poured 329 Lee 150 SWC .359 boolits and Hi-tek Old Gold coated two coats today along with pouring 518 Lee 124 RN boolits with a two hole mould. That is a lot of boolits to pour at one sitting for me, especcially with a two cavity mould. Learned to put downward pressure on the sprue plate as it was pushed opened with the old hammer handle. Makes for a flat bottomed boolit.

How hot has it been the last two weeks? I just leave my lead out in the sun for two hours and then pour it into ingots.

I really wish LEE would offer this in a six holler!!

The 65g Lyman bullet is a beauty!!

I did not realize I was out of GC in 25...

cwlongshot, good looking boolits. That is a lot to pour with a two hole mold at one time.

Yesterday I fired up the waage pot to ladel cast some NOE .44 SWC HP and MiHec .45 HP Hammer bullets. All were cast with pure lead and a little tin. The Hammer bullets are a little soft in my opinion but they are for a friend so I made what he wanted.
