No first-hand info for those powders but, for me, IMR3031 produced quite satisfactory preformance with both JB and cast in a TC Super 14 chambered for the old IHMSA 7R International...based on a blown-out 30-30 case and essentially the same as the 7x30 Waters.

I've had a 14" 7-R for many years, It has about 10% less case capatity that the 7-30 but to your question, My standard Unique load for most everything is 10.0 gn. Unique. I'm loading some up with a 140 Saeco and a 145 RCBS with the 10.0 Unique. I think the 168 RCBS is to long to stabalize at the speed you will get from Unique.
I went to 3031 & 4895 with J bullets to get the JP break to reduce recoil so I could use a rifle scope,
What do you plan to ues this for ?

Fired a few cast Boolits from my 10" barrel Contender. Some of the Boolit weights are oddball-I wanted to make sure they stabilized at such low velocities. No high pressure signs.

124 gr. Unique 10 gr. 1385 FPS 528 Ft. Lb.
    138 gr. 700X 4 gr. 847 FPS 220 ft/lb
    138 gr. 700X 5 gr. 944 FPS 273 ft/lb
    152-GC 2400 15gr. 1501 FPS 760 ft/lb

Sorry for the crummy formatting--it changes when it's posted.

    Any more?

I'm thinking about getting the LEE 7mm mould for fire forming since Old Goat was kind enough to swap me barrels.

Plus this would be a good plinker/steel/camp pest load if under 2K FPS

Open to any powder for I have at least 20 on the bench at the moment. I did look at that 7mm Hunter bullet, what weight is that again?

7mm hunter is 150gr, I like 30gr of IMR4895 with it out of my TC super 14 in 7-30 waters.

It toppels the 200meter rams nicely.
