More good luck with the 454 Puma

Went to the range yesterday with my 454 and every time I try something new it shoots wonderfully. Tried my favorite lee 255rnfp+RecLox over 11 grs of unique; and offhand it punched about a fist sized hole at 50 yards. Real clean and no leading. Chrono'd about 6 or 7 and it is running right at 1300fps in the 16.5" bbl. Very nice mild load. The more I use unique the more I like it.

I always wanted a 454 lever. Stayed away cause it wasn't a Marlin. Everything I read about them here sounds good, and there are ways to slick them up/ break in. I think I need to reconsider.
